Intermediate Spanish Course

Our Intermediate Spanish Courses are designed for students that have a solid grounding in Spanish or might have already attended a Spanish Intensive Course, but now want to improve upon on their fluency and pronunciation, expand on their vocabulary and correct any grammatical errors.

• Refreshing of some of the topics seen in the ‘Spanish for Beginners’

• Going out, restaurants meeting new people, in laws

• Being able to describe you likes and dislikes

• Training in being to converse freely on more advanced topics eg. Cultural aspects: Famous People,

• Education, Music & Film

• Relationships, emotions

• Extended Grammar

• Review & practice ‘post-beginner’ level grammar

• Indefinite Preterit vs. Imperfect Preterit

• Comparatives & superlatives

• Reported speech

• Direct/Indirect Pronouns: usage and position

• Other vocabulary

• Review & practice ‘beginner/elementary’ level vocabulary

• More extensive word-building (prefix and suffix patterns) + Affective Suffixes

• More extensive word families (noun-verb-adjective-adverb)

• Common slang

• Common linking words

• Wider range of daily verbal functions, including: giving advice, ordering, booking, making enquiries

• Being confident in discussing your immediate future plans

• Travel, weather and current news

• More advanced Spanish phrases

• Testing and improving your Spanish Grammar, nouns, verbs, word order and numbers

• Use of adjectives, pronouns and adverbs

• Comparatives and superlatives

• Extended knowledge of adjectives, verbs, adverbs and connectives
